Frogs Australia Network
The health of a frog population is considered to be an “indicator” on the health of the wetland environment they live in, as they are very sensitive to pollution and changes in their habitat.
According to a new web-based organisation called the Frogs Australia Network, Australian frog populations are declining at an alarming rate. This Australia-wide group, which is free to join, aims to get teachers, students, scientists and community members involved in conservation of frogs.
Dale Roberts, Chairperson of the Frogs Australia Network, says “Becoming part of the network helps build the momentum to unite people who care about frogs. This can lead to a better understanding and coordination of their conservation.”
