Black holes explained
Do black holes really exist, and what exactly are they?
Phil Plait, over at the Bad Astronomy Blog, says:
Black holes are weird. Really weird.
But you know this. Infinitely small, with huge gravity, warpers of time and space; they’re simply cool to astronomer and the public alike.
He then goes on to explain black holes in simple language, with some nice illustrations.
