Wallabies help fight off super-bugs

Researchers have found a new ally in their fight against so-called superbugs - strains of bacteria such as golden staph, resistant to conventional treatments.

Up until now, scientists trying to create computer simulations of black holes based on Einstein’s theory of relativity have had problems with computers crashing - the mathematics was just too complicated. Pyramid found in Mexico City

Archaeologists have discovered a 1,500 year old pyramid in Mexico City, buried under a hill overlooking one of the city’s largest and poorest suburbs. Only 60cm of dirt covered the 18 metre high structure.

NASA plans to smash probe into moon

In a hope to discover if the moon harbours water, NASA plans to drop a two tonne probe into the satelite’s surface in 2008.
The collision will create a crater an estimated 5 meters deep, and throw up a spray of debris which will be monitored by a second spacecraft.
